We're still jamming during the pandemic, outside, socially distanced, masks required! We've changed the start time to 6:30 for more daylight.
Every 1st & 3rd Monday at 6:30pm join our Music Jam. Free! We play the same kinds of music we dance to, mostly from one of the Portland Collection books, the Fiddler's Fakebook (available many places online), Carpilation (free online!), or the Waltz books. We have extra copies of all of these to share at the jam. Occasionally we'll play original compositions people bring, or folk songs. All are welcome, even if you'd only like to listen. Refreshments provided.
At 1st Monday jams we usually go around the room picking tunes, 3rd Monday jams focus on our Megaband material, but everybody is invited and encouraged to join any of our jams.
Tunes we've played at recent jams are on the list below. Also below is the Megaband set music for our performances at the dances in Denver and Boulder. The ".zip" file contains the same tunes as Megaband 2019.pdf, except that each tune has been separated into its own pdf file (useful for those with tablets). The Megaband's current director (since 2016) is Ed Hall.
Here's a link to the video of the Front Range Megaband playing at the 2015 Denver dance.
